The training body is designed as a specialized and qualifying training for the “players” in the performing arts field. It is for anyone whose work requires an expressive body and fitness. The training will include exercises to increase physical strength, flexibility and vitality, linking the “players” movement to their own voices. The Training body aims to improve the stage presence, body language, adding a conscious use of physical means. This workshop is for training actors, mimes, singers, directors, musicians, coaches (who are looking for new inspiration and methodology), and to people who move to Berlin to develop work in the field of performing arts. The concept of the training body was designed with the initiative of Mime Centrum with the artist and teacher Anke Gerber. New teachers excited about the basic concept, joined the project, addressing through their qualification, key aspects of the project. The teachers work in teams and are in constant exchange. Every teacher knows the course content and methods of his colleagues, and is able to provide counterpoints necessary in its own way.
